MyMusic150+ is a partnership project between the Toronto Musicians’ Association, Musicians’ Rights Organization of Canada (MROC), OrchestraPlus, and Coy Studios, four distinct nonprofit organizations within the GTA.
Together we are offering a professional development program on best business practices within the Canadian music industry. MyMusic150+ is intended for participants 18-35 years of age, and invites individuals of all cultural, socio-economic and musical backgrounds to participate.
Travel reimbursements are available for those with travel costs exceeding $6.50 on the day of the workshop. Please present a copy of your receipt(s) and we will assist with costs while funds last.
20 core participants will be selected mid program to receive a small honorarium upon completion of 6 workshops and will be asked to complete a brief survey on their experience with MyMusic150+. Individuals can indicate interest in being a core participant when registering online, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
MyMusic150+ is intended for all musicians 18-35 living and working in the Greater Toronto Area. Within this pool of participants, there is a great diversity of work experience, artistic output, and musical ability. To help share this living network of artists with audiences across Canada, the MyMusic150+ program will profile select participants through two mini-documentaries telling the stories of their lives, their music, and their musical and cultural heritage.
The MyMusic150+ program is made possible with support from the Province of Ontario through the Ontario150 program.
Le programme MyMusic150+ existe grâce au soutien financier du programme Ontario150 mis sur pied par la province de l’Ontario.
